Christmas Goodies

My Christmas beauty presents were all skin products this year.  I received:

Beauticology Foot Lotion, Foot Soak Crystals and Supersoft socks so I can maintain my super soft skin from my pedicure

and

A cute Beauticology tin containing an even cuter gingerbread man soap, Chocolate Cupcake liquid gold shower crème and Vanilla Frosting hand and body lotion.  It all smells divine and the gingerbread man looks good enough to eat!

I’ve never used Beauticology so this was a nice surprise, especially as it has such pretty packaging!

I also received a No7 Beautiful Skin set containing travel-sized versions of:

  • Cleansing Lotion
  • Radiance Exfoliator
  • Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm
  • Energising Mask
  • Day Cream
  • Night Cream

I don’t think I have the patience to wait until I go on holiday to use all of this, and I really need the Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm right now! Actually, I’ve already used full size versions of the creams, cleanser and exfoliator (reviews to come) so I think I will pack them away for my travels, especially as the day cream has SPF 15.

My lovely family has decided to take care of me from head to toe! I’ll let you know my thought on the products soon.

Miss Glossybox Review: Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Foaming Cleanser

Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Foaming Cleanser

Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Foaming Cleanser

This Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Foaming Cleanserwas in my (and everyone else’s) last ever Miss Glossybox, the November/December edition.

I should start by saying that I have dry skin with an oily nose (I think that’s combination!) and I get the odd spot here and there.  My skin is not prone to “breakouts” as such and is not sensitive.

What I can say is that I did use this cleanser and quite liked it. The tiniest drop, and I mean tiny, made a good amount of foam to wash may face with.  The foam is a good thickness, not too light.  My skin felt fully cleansed and refreshed, the refreshing part probably coming from the fresh, citrusy scent.  On the odd occasion my cheek skin tightened just the tiniest bit, but I put it down to the face that this product is for skin prone to breakouts and therefore oily and/or sensitive, and not for dry skin like mine. I have to say, it didn’t stop me using it!

It was a pleasure to wash my face with this product however I did give it away to someone I thought could really benefit from it, as I felt bad that I was hogging a great cleanser when I didn’t really need this type!

I decided to try out some different skin products:

L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Micellar Solution – it promises great things so I’m looking forward to trying it!

L’Oreal Paris Triple Active Nourish Intense Hydrating Moisturiser – it promises to be non-greasy and soft but also good for dry to very dry skin for 24 hours. We’ll see!

No7 Protect and Perfect Eye Cream – I wanted to upgrade my eye cream from my Boots Vitamin E Cream so decided to give this a try.

I’ll review the products when I get round to trying them!
