Review: No7 Protect & Perfect Eye Cream

No7 Protect & Perfect Eye Cream

No7 Protect & Perfect Eye Cream

I think I bought this No7 Protect & Perfect Eye Cream as part of a skincare gift set. I have heard good things about the Protect & Perfect range so I had high hopes for this cream. Unfortunately there were no miracles.

To me, it is a basic, and therefore overpriced cream. I don’t think it has any SPF and I really doesn’t do anything for me except keep my eye area moisturised. Maybe there is some protection going on that I don’t know about but without an SPF, it certainly is not protecting me from the sun!

I much prefer the cheaper Boots brand Vitamin E eye cream which I reviewed a while ago. That cream moisturises, protects with SPF and illuminates. I will not repurchase this No7 Protect & Perfect Eye Cream.

Review: No7 Beautiful Skin Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm

No7 Beautiful Skin Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm

No7 Beautiful Skin Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm

I received this No7 Beautiful Skin Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm as part of a gift set for Christmas. It claims to visibly improve dark circles and puffiness. I’m not sure about that but I like it anyway!

It is a transparent balm which soothes and moisturises the eyes overnight. I wake up with my eyes feeling refreshed which is much more pleasant than my eyes feeling dry!
Recently I have been wearing this over my Green People Age Defy Line Eraser Lip & Eye serum and they seem to work well together to keep my eye area hydrated. This is one of the few No7 products I am likely to repurchase, and want to repurchase!

Review: Green People Age Defy Line Eraser Lip & Eye

Green People Age Defy Line Eraser Lip & Eye Eraser

Green People Age Defy Line Eraser Lip & Eye

I received a sample of this Green People Age Defy Line Eraser Lip & Eye in my Latest in Beauty Winter Collection Editor’s Picks box. It is a serum which contains 95% organic ingredients. It is an opaque greeny-yellow liquid with a natural spa smell. I tried this on my lips a couple of times but I mainly use it on my eyes.

I have to confess, I don’t have any lines to get rid of so I can’t comment on that aspect. I did use it under my night-time eye cream as added protection and nourishment. I don’t know if I can see any difference but I wasn’t looking for any really.

It does take quite a long time to massage one pump of the serum into both eyes so I just have to enjoy the massage. The whole process does relax me before I go to sleep. It’s not moisturising enough for me to not apply eye cream over the top but as I understand it, serums work best when used with moisturiser.

I liked the fact I was putting something good on to my face. I have had no reactions which could happen with organic products so I would be willing to try other Green People products.

Review: DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil

I received this sample of the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil in the Latest in Beauty Winter Collection Editor’s Picks box. Having tried the L’Oreal 15 Second Miracle Cleansing Oil, I wanted to see what other brands had to offer.

This oil is very thick -it has the scent and consistency of olive oil. This makes it more difficult to rub in that the L’Oreal miracle oil but it does feel more luxurious. The thickness makes me need to massage my face properly which I’m sure is good for me.

It doesn’t dissolve make-up as quickly as the L’Oreal oil but it does have two advantages. The first is that my face feels more thoroughly cleansed once I have finished massaging it into my skin and the second is that my skin does not feel dry at all once I rinse the oil off.

Which is your favourite cleansing oil?

Review: Boots Vitamin E Day and Night Creams

Boots Vitamin E Day Cream

Boots Vitamin E Day Cream

I bought the Boots Vitamin E Day and Night Creams on the recommendation of my friend who was also on a mission to find beauty products that work but don’t break the bank.

These were an alternative to the Body Shop vitamin e creams for me.

These creams are no frills moisturisers and they do an ok job. When I buy creams I don’t want or need them to work miracles, I just want to keep my dry skin supple and comfortable.

The day cream is very light, I would even say thin! It has a very light perfumed powder scent. It’s great for summer when I want to feel hydrated rather than weighed down with cream.

The night cream is a little thicker but no too thick, so if the day cream is not quite enough, this can be worn in the day. I actually really like the night cream and would buy it again. It’s refreshing not to have a night cream that is too heavy or too greasy.
I’m more likely to but the night cream again and probably wear it in the daytime!
